“The Visible and the Invisible” explores the structure of relationships we encounter in everyday life.
It seeks to visualize the coexistence of the visible and the invisible aspects that emerge within relationships—between people, between people and objects, and between people and spaces.
Some phenomena reveal clear reasons and contexts, while others remain elusive and difficult to comprehend.
This work attempts to interpret such experiences visually, tracing the layers of perception embedded within them.
Using familiar materials such as fruits and vegetables, the series expresses the duality of reality—what is visible and what is invisible.
Certain parts of these materials are fully exposed, while others are covered in white paint, obscuring their form.
This contrast symbolizes the dual aspects of events and relationships we encounter in daily life—the seen and the unseen.
In this work, white represents the areas beyond perception—dimensions within relationships that are overlooked, ignored, or left unrecognized.
Each material carries its own color and texture, yet within a single composition they remain close without fully merging.
The subtle gaps between them reveal the imbalance and discontinuities that often exist within relationships.
To embody these ideas, I approached the composition as a kind of visual play—reconstructing forms through color and shape.
The process of dismantling and rearranging the materials resembles solving a puzzle or an anagram.
Through the interaction of color and form, I sought to express the dynamic relationship between visibility and invisibility from multiple perspectives.
Each rearranged element is interconnected, yet it offers a distinct visual interpretation, containing its own layer of meaning and story.
Ultimately, “The Visible and the Invisible” is a reflection on how we perceive the world itself.
We always see only fragments of our relationships, while the rest lies in the blind spots of our senses.
This work reveals the underlying structures, contexts, and unseen layers of connection hidden beneath the surface of the visible world, exploring the complex coexistence of what can and cannot be seen.

“The Visible and the Invisible”은 우리가 일상 속에서 마주하는 관계의 구조를 탐구한다.
사람과 사람, 사람과 사물, 그리고 공간과의 관계 속에서 드러나는 보이는 것과 보이지 않는 것의 공존을 시각적으로 표현하고자 했다.
어떤 일들은 이유와 맥락이 분명하지만, 어떤 것들은 끝내 이해할 수 없는 채로 남는다.
나는 이러한 경험들을 시각적으로 해석하며, 그 안에 숨어 있는 인식의 여러 층위를 추적하고자 했다.
작품은 과일과 채소라는 익숙한 재료를 사용해
현실의 이중성—가시적인 것과 비가시적인 것—을 드러낸다.
일부는 형태를 온전히 드러내지만, 다른 부분은 흰색으로 덮여 있다.
이 대비는 우리가 일상 속에서 마주하는 사건과 관계가 지닌 ‘보이는 면’과 ‘보이지 않는 면’을 상징한다.
여기서 흰색은 시선이 닿지 않는 영역,
즉 관계 속에서 인식되지 않거나 무심히 지나쳐지는 층위를 의미한다.
각각의 재료는 고유한 색과 질감을 지니지만,
한 장면 안에서 서로 가까이 있으면서도 완전히 섞이지 않는다.
그 미세한 간극은 우리가 맺는 관계 속 불균형과 인식의 틈을 드러낸다.
나는 이 생각을 색과 형태로 놀이하듯 재구성하는 과정으로 풀어냈다.
재료를 해체하고 다시 조합하는 일은 퍼즐을 맞추거나 Anagram을 푸는 행위와 닮아 있다.
색과 형태의 상호작용을 통해,
보이는 것과 보이지 않는 것 사이의 관계를 다층적으로 표현하고자 했다.
재배치된 요소들은 서로 연결되어 있으면서도 각기 다른 시각적 해석을 만들어내며,
그 속에 저마다의 이야기와 의미를 품고 있다.
결국 “The Visible and the Invisible”은 우리가 세계를 인식하는 방식에 대한 질문이다.
우리는 언제나 관계의 일부분만을 보고, 나머지는 감각의 사각지대에 남긴다.
이 작업은 눈에 보이는 세계의 표면 아래에 숨겨진 구조와 맥락, 그리고 인식되지 않은 관계의 층위를 드러내며,
보이는 것과 보이지 않는 것이 공존하는 현실의 복잡한 얼굴을 탐색한다.
